WELLNESS EDUCATION

+ FINDING WELLNESS THROUGH MINDFULNESS (60 MINUTES)

Mindfulness & Stress Management Practical tools for managing stress, building resilience, and supporting well-being.

Stress is an inevitable part of life—but how we respond to it can make a meaningful difference.

This highly experiential workshop introduces participants to simple, evidence-informed mindfulness and self-regulation practices that can be used immediately to support greater calm, awareness, and resilience.

Rather than simply learning about mindfulness, participants have the opportunity to experience it firsthand. Each session includes three guided exercises designed to help participants notice the effects of these practices and explore how they might fit into everyday life.

Participants will leave with: Practical tools for managing stress and overwhelm Simple mindfulness and self-regulation practices Strategies for bringing greater awareness and intention to stressful situations A deeper understanding of how stress affects the mind and body An opportunity to pause, connect, and practice together

The workshop can be offered as a stand-alone session or as a four-part series, allowing participants to build their understanding and develop a regular mindfulness practice over time.

Ideal for workplaces, healthcare teams, community groups, and organizations looking to support the well-being and resilience of their people

+ MINDFUL COMMUNICATION (60 MINUTES)

Mindful Communication Communicate with greater clarity, compassion, and confidence.

In demanding and complex environments, even the best intentions can get lost in the pressure of the moment. When stress is high, it can be difficult to listen openly, express ourselves clearly, or respond thoughtfully rather than reactively.

Mindful communication offers a practical approach to navigating these moments with greater self-awareness, empathy, and intention. By learning to notice our own reactions and regulate ourselves in the present moment, we can become more capable of listening deeply, speaking clearly, and responding with compassion—even during challenging interactions.

This interactive and experiential workshop combines mindfulness practices, group discussion, reflection, and role-play to help participants develop practical communication skills they can use immediately.

Participants will explore: How stress and emotional reactivity can influence communication The role of self-awareness and self-regulation in challenging interactions Practices for listening with greater presence and empathy How to communicate needs, boundaries, and perspectives with clarity and compassion Mindful speech and responding rather than reacting Strategies for navigating difficult conversations and conflict How mindful communication can strengthen relationships and build resilience

Participants will have opportunities to practice these skills in real time, building confidence in their ability to communicate effectively when it matters most.

The goal is not perfect communication. It is developing the awareness and skills to pause, listen, and choose how we respond—even when the conversation is difficult.

Ideal for healthcare teams, workplaces, and organizations looking to strengthen communication, connection, and resilience.

+ COMPASSION RESILIENCE (90 MINUTES)

How to Keep Loving the Work You Do

Healthcare is a helping profession by nature—but the emotional demands of caring for others can take a toll. Over time, ongoing stress, exposure to trauma, and compassion fatigue can leave even deeply committed professionals feeling depleted or burned out.

This interactive and experiential workshop explores the impact of stress and trauma on the mind, body, and nervous system, while creating space for participants to pause and reflect on their own well-being.

Through self-reflection, group discussion, and practical exercises, participants will explore their current stressors, identify sources of support, and learn simple mind-body tools they can use to regulate stress and support their resilience.

If desired, the session can conclude with a structured group conversation focused on strengthening compassion resilience and supporting a more resilient, connected team.

Participants will explore:

  • The impact of chronic stress and exposure to trauma
  • How stress affects the brain and nervous system
  • The difference between empathy, compassion, and compassion fatigue
  • Personal and team factors that influence well-being
  • Practical mind-body strategies for managing stress
  • Ways to strengthen compassion resilience at work and at home

+ Cultivating Compassion Resilience 2.0

A Chance to Pause, Check In & Reset

Designed as a follow-up to Cultivating Compassion Resilience, this one-hour workshop offers participants an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and revisit the practices that support sustainable well-being.

The session begins with a brief review of key concepts from the original workshop, followed by a guided check-in. Participants are invited to reflect on the impact of their current work challenges and stressors, identify helpful coping strategies, and consider the people and resources that make up their support network.

Two guided experiential practices—a mindfulness exercise and a meditation—give participants an opportunity to slow down, regulate, and experience compassion resilience in practice.

This session can stand alone as a brief wellness offering or be used as a follow-up to reinforce and deepen learning from the original workshop.

Participants will leave with:

  • A chance to pause and check in with themselves
  • Greater awareness of current stressors and their impact
  • Practical strategies for supporting their well-being
  • An opportunity to reconnect with their support networks
  • Two simple mindfulness and meditation practices they can continue using beyond the session

+ WELLBEING CHECK IN (60 MINUTES)

A chance to pause, reconnect, and check in.

Whether your team is working remotely, in person, or somewhere in between, creating intentional space for well-being matters.

Through guided reflection, conversation, and practical strategies, participants will explore simple tools and resources to support their mental well-being and build sustainable self-care practices.

The session also creates an opportunity for teams to reconnect, share, and strengthen a culture of care. Participants are invited to reflect on their own well-being plans and, where comfortable, share strategies and resources that help them navigate stress and stay well.

Participants will leave with: Greater awareness of their current well-being and needs Practical tools and resources to support mental well-being An opportunity to reflect on and strengthen their personal well-being plan Time and space to pause, reconnect, and share with colleagues Strategies for making well-being an ongoing part of their work and life
